Duratec Surfacing Primers

Description

DURATEC SURFACING PRIMER – A high quality polyester surface primer, usually sprayed on, that provides outstanding filling and leveling properties for many substrates. Excellent adhesion is achieved with fiberglass, metal, wood, press-board, concrete, and polyurethane foam. Duratec surface primer offers a rapid coat build-up for master mold surfacing and is excellent for fiberglass tooling repair as it accepts tooling gel coat. Use surfacing primer for wet sanding to obtain a high gloss finish. Product is catalyzed with MEKP (sold separately). Product is available by the gallon and 5 gallon pail.

Gel Time: Sample based on a 100 g mass, catalyzed at 2 percent with mekP – 16-18 min.

Coverage per Gallon: 10 mil thickness – 110-115 ft. sq. ; 250 micron thickness – 10.2-10.7 m. sq.

NOTE: Can be reduced up to 10% with MEK.
